The purpose of RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directive is to restrict the material content concentration for certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Created and supported by the European Union the directive enforced by the member countries. Although the RoHS directive might be slightly regulated differently in different countries, the main goal and purpose are the same. The number of hazardous substances restricted by the directive might increase over time, but at the current moment there are only six, which includes: Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyl and Polybrominated Diphenyl Either. The directive is fully enforced by 1st July 2006. At Victorwood Holdings Ltd., we have studied and thoroughly understood the RoHS directive. We have invested our resources in order to fully comply with the directive. Currently we have obtained in our possession machines such as: Lead-Free Wave Soldering Machine, Lead-Free SMT IR Furnace and X-Ray Fluoscent.

The WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive is closely linked to the RoHS directive. The purpose of the directive is to assist in solving the problem of huge amounts of toxic e-waste. WEEE directive sets out collection, recycling and recovering targets for electrical and electronic goods. Our products are 100% RoHS and WEEE compliance.
